Borgolozzi is a romantic mediaeval hamlet situated on the beautiful and green hills
just 15 km south from Siena. Clear signs indicate that in the year 1000 the church of the Holy Trinity stood in "Borgolozzi", a charming building which has been recently converted into six comfortable apartments, still preserving some mediaeval characteristic.
All apartments have a private entrance and look onto a large terrace from where one can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and the Siena skyline.
The property is surrounded by an enclosed park, where guests have at their disposal an inviting 7x14 m. large swimming pool ,and a cosy area fitted with a barbecue and log oven. On its borders there is the "Museo del bosco" (Museum of the Woods) run by the Tuscan Region. This is the starting point for several traced paths which lead in to the woods through which you can find the clear waters of the river Merse with its various natural pools where you can swim, and the river Farma with its hot therapeutic waters (42 degrees).
All essential services (various shops, supermaket, bank, restaurants, tennis court, etc.) can be found in the nearby village of Rosia (5 km), whilst a good and easy to reach restaurant lies just 800 m. away from Borgolozzi.
All the most important art centres of the region are within easy reach: Siena 15 kms, Montalcino 30, San Gimignano and Volterra 35, Firenze 65, Pisa 90.
The apartments are part of this large restored house, and besides being rent separately it is possible to book the entire house or more than one apartment with a large hall for parties , meetings or weddings etc. This is easily done by opening the old internal connections.
