Situated just outside the mediaeval walls of the charming hilltop village of Casole d'Elsa , Il Colombaio is a typical Tuscan farmhouse converted into 8 comfortable apartments and provided with all comforts.
The owner has created these apartments giving them a warm and cosy atmosphere making each guest feel at ease. Each apartment offers a stunning view over the enchanting countryside. A large swimming pool set in a wonderful and panoramic spot is at guests' disposal during the long and sunny Tuscan summer.
In addition to the warm welcome, your host specializes in offering typical Tuscan dishes, olive oil and other specialities from the farm. Tuscan and gourmet food is served to a very high standard in the newly completed restaurant.
In Casole d'Elsa, easily reachable on foot (200 m.), guest can find all kind of services: food shops, banks, post office, tennis court, etc.
Thanks to its central position, Il Colombaio is an ideal starting point for visits to the most important historical and cultural centres of the region: Volterra and San Gimignano are approx. 20 km away, Siena 30, Florence 60, Pisa 80, whilst the nearest splendid Tuscan beaches are at 60 - 70 km.
