The wine and oil producing estate of Villa Buoninsegna is set admist vines, olives and woodland between Tuscany and Umbria commanding splendid views over the surrounding countryside.
In the heart of the property there is the antique Villa Buoninsegna built in 1675, and around the villa there are some smaller buildings, once the houses of the farmers, recently renewed and transformed into 4 flats. All of the units are tastefully with some antique pieces furnished and have private furnished outdoor areas, as well as shared amenities such as the swimming pool (5x10 mt.)and the barbecue pit.
In the characteristic, spacious and well kept cellar, guests may taste and purchase the excellent wine and olive oil produced by the owner of the estate. Though located on a tranquil spot,
Villa Buoninsegna is close to the road Siena-Perugia from which is easy to reach the most important art cities both in Tuscany and in Umbria: it lies in fact about 30 minutes drive from Siena, 40 from Trasimeno Lake, 60 from Perugia, 70 minutes from Florence and less than two hours from Rome.
Finally, the town of Rapolano Terme, just a couple of minutes away, with its two pleasant and healthy thermal swimming pools in the open, offers all essential services (shops, restaurants, banks, railway station, etc.).
