Independent villa, at just 5 km from Siena, surrounded by a beautiful fenced-in garden, and provided with a splendid bean-shaped 6 X 12 m. swimming pool for exclusive guest use ( the picture of the pool is not available on the web page yet, because at the time we took the photos (September 2004, the pool was still under construction; the picture of the pool will be added at the beginning of May by its opening).
Access to the villa is from its wrought iron gates into the garden with shady parking space and furnished Gazebo. The garden merits a particular note because it offers both sunny and shaded areas with beautiful trees and lawns.
Main private entrance to the villa is at ground floor from a furnished terrace into a living room with door on the right to a double bedroom. To the left of the hall is a wooden staircase leading upstairs. To the right of the stairs is a spacious complete bathroom with shower stall. Both the bedroom and the bathroom have mosquito screens. At the top of the stairs is a low wooden gate that can be closed to keep toddlers from getting in harm's way.
The stairs lead directly into a spacious living/dining room with open-hearth fireplace. In front of the fireplace is a beautiful wooden table with chairs and benches in typical Tuscan style. There is a low wall opposite the fireplace that delimits the kitchen area. The kitchen is complete with gas range, electric oven, fridge with freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. There is a large door with mosquito screen in the living room that opens onto an external landing with stairs leading down to the garden.
To the right of the fireplace, through the living area, is a hallway that leads to a double bedroom, to a delightful twin bedded room with open mansard, and to a small bathroom with shower stall. All the rooms in the first floor have mosquito screens, except one small window in the kitchen. The villa is comfortably furnished in typical Tuscan style and offers wood beamed ceilings, cotto floors and whitewashed walls. There is a baby cot, satellite TV, and central heating is with gas and gas is payable on consumption during heating season together with firewood.
Siena with all kinds of services is situated at approx. 5 km from the house.
Some distances to the most known art centres of Tuscany: San Gimignano 35 km, Volterra 55, Florence 60 km, Arezzo 70 km, Pisa 135 km, whilst the beaches of the Tuscan coast are approx. 80 km away.
